The Namib Desert may well be the world’s oldest desert. The Namib-Naukluft Park includes five main regions: Namib, Sandvis, Naukluft, Sesriem and Sossusvlei. The apricot-colored dunes at Sossusvlei are beautiful and photographic opportunities for landscapes abound. Herds of mountain zebra, gemsbok and springbok roam the area.
This is a flying safari to the primary reserves in Botswana utilizing charter flights between the camps.
Game viewing will be from 4×4 vehicles with a resident guide at each camp we visit. Every park has a unique ecosystem.
Our itinerary includes all privately owned camps giving us a distinct advantage. We will not be subject to hundreds of tourists and slow traffic. We will be able to drive off normal trails in pursuit of photo opportunities that present themselves and not be bound by National Park rules.
The Okavango Delta is a mutual blending of water and forested islands, joined by thousands of waterways that alter each year with the flood. Moremi is a prime game viewing area that includes a third of the Delta. The western reaches of Moremi include much of the Okavango while the e astern sector is mainly mopane woodland and open grassland.
Who should attend?
This is a photo safari for photographers of all skill levels. Individual attention will be given to attendees, irrespective of experience or expectations. Digital and film shooters are most welcome.
The primary focus is to capture the wildlife of the region and the excellent landscapes.
